Rosalie Sheehy Cates bio 2014Rosalie Sheehy Cates is a community investment consultant. She helps identify partnerships and dealflow in affordable housing, community facilities or small business loans. She has also managed a number of national field-building studies and working groups with the aim of building community investment infrastructure in the United States.

Rosalie was with the Montana Community Development Corporation from 1989-2010, including 14 years as CEO. She built the non-profit to $62 million under management in small business lending capital and New Markets Tax Credits, along with extensive programming for entrepreneurship and sustainable forestry in Montana.

Prior to that Rosalie lived in rural Wisconsin (1980-1989) where she was an organizer for family farms and sustainable agriculture. She also helped with her family’s small cattle operation.

Rosalie is a dedicated family person, and an enthusiastic citizen in Missoula, Montana. She has a BS in Forestry and a Master’s in Public Administration, both from the University of Montana.
